Ad Sales
To help pay for yearbook expenses throughout the year, we sell advertisements in our book. Everyone on staff is obligated to attempt a sale at at least 7 or 8 businesses within our local area, but if a staffer has a personal connection to a business and therefore has a better chance of getting the sale then they are allowed to have more, and this is just business ads alone. We also sell senior ads which help fund the book as well. All of these sales help promote the book as a whole and help our staffers learn and improve their business skills.

Public Relations Outreach
Nearing our final sales push of the year my adviser had an idea to create fliers to hang up around the school. The designs were created with our audience in mind. "What would grab the attention of high schoolers?" We decided to go with a twist on modern day, popular memes that involved yearbook. We taped the fliers in bathrooms and around the hallways of the school. During our final sales push, we place a group specifically in charge of managing the sales of book. During the two week period for the deadline. The group did sidewalk art around campus, informing students about book sales. They also hung up a 4x6 foot sign in a heavy traffic area of our school informing students about book sales. The group also delegated specific days members of staff would sell book during lunch, so students would have an opportunity to purchase books in person. Our public relations increased our book sales by 32 books in two weeks over online sales alone.
